About Me
My name is Tamara Oborn. I grew up in Mesa, AZ, and Pleasant Grove, Utah is now my home of over 15 years. WIth the support of city leadership, I created PG Cares in 2020, a community prevention coalition dedicated to strengthening I families and reducing the risk of addiction, abuse, and suicide. I am on the executive board of PG Cares and teach Positive Psychology at Pleasant Grove High School.
I graduated with my BA in Political Science in 2006. I completed half of my undergraduate degree at ASU and half at BYU. I graduated from the SUU MPA program in April 2024.
I married my husband Dane in 2005 and we have four beautiful children, one dog, and two cats. My family is the reason I am passionate about prevention work and hope to help make my community a better place.
